A year of denial from the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge. A year of the Ministry of Magic trying, and succeeding, in convincing most of the Wizarding world into believing that Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore were lying. A year of misery for Hogwarts School, as they all dealt with Dolores Umbridge. A year of hard work for the Order of the Phoenix, as they continually tried to get wizards and witches to see their side, the truth, that Lord Voldemort truly had returned. Now, that year is over. It ended off with the great battle for the prophecy at the Ministry of Magic. Harry Potter’s ‘secret’ group, Dumbledore’s Army, fought the Dark Lord’s most loyal Death Eaters. The prophecy was seemingly lost, and the night ended with a spectacular fight between the world’s two greatest wizards.
After that, there was no way the Minister could go on denying Lord Voldemort’s return. Flustered and embarrassed, he had it published in the Daily Prophet that Potter and Dumbledore had been right all along. It was spread throughout the entire Wizarding community, and now everyone is falling back into the state of fear they were in when he fell fifteen years before.
Lord Voldemort has gained and continues to gain, followers and supporters, rapidly. However, they do not only come in human form. He has brought the Dementors and Giants to his side, and many say he will summon his army of Inferi again. Just over the few months of summer, everything has fallen to pieces. The usually hot weather has turned cold and foggy with constant Dementor breeding. The Giants roam around, tearing up wide areas of land, making the muggles believe there have been multiple deadly storms. Most recently, the Death Eaters and Giants have brought a major bridge crashing down, causing many deaths and injuries.
Accidents, injuries, and catastrophes will continue on. They will soon become a daily happening. Through it all, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will resume to teach another generation of young wizards and witches. The professors will go on teaching their classes, even as everyone wonders if they or someone close will be the next victim.
Which side will you take? Who will disappear next?
