LOL, I decided to try to write a rhyming poem with my accent. It is my dream. But not all of my dream. Of course!!! My dreams are longer than this!!!
Had this dream and it wasn’t bad In fact, ranks high in dreams I’ve had Starts, I was waitin’ in this massive crowd In, where else? Where else? But Rome! For a train to come and take me home Along it came, just a-rumblin’ loud
Train stopped and opened gapin’ wide And I stepped all careful inside My eyes wandered the few and vacant seats Saw a big man in a jacket and hat He seemed lonely, I sat where he sat He dug in his pocket and pulled out a handful of sweets
Well, this man was big, both wide and tall Wrapped deep in his jacket and that’s not all His hat dipped low and masked his face in shadow He growled and moaned, which gave me a scare Curious too, I couldn’t help but stare I imagined his face as mean and sallow
He shifted a bit in his coat colored sandy Must’ve seen me starin’ ‘cause he offered the candy Glitterin’ like jewels in his large and heavy hand Not wantin’ to offend the big and shady feller I chose two candies, one red and one yeller And found them to be the sweetest in all the land
Happy and grateful, I’ll thank him, I thought But more ‘an anythin’ ‘twas more candy I sought And I said, “It was real good sir.” He offered again, but this time I saw His heavy hand was a heavy paw Armed with long dark claws and covered in fur

This is all I have so far: All together too!!! Rhyming is fun!!! Yay!!! And my poem still isn't done...
Had this dream and it wasn’t bad In fact, ranks high in dreams I’ve had Starts, I was waitin’ in this massive crowd In, where else? Where else? But Rome! For a train to come and take me home Along it came, just a rumblin’ loud
My face went slack in fear and surprise He looked at me and I met his eyes Finally seein’ the face that had been hid ‘twas not the face that I had schemed Not even of a man it seemed But of a bear and Lord knows, I don’t kid
He withdrew and lowered his hat Over his face again, so that His long muzzle was hidden from view “You are a bear?” I turned to ask Though speaking didn’t seem a task This dressed-up-like-a-man bear could do.
He groaned a bit, lookin’ away As if it was all he could say Pro’bly was, ‘cause he groaned so soft and low He stared out the window, to the sea But I knew he wasn’t ignorin’ me He was figurin’ whether I was friend or foe
Makes sense I think and this is why I knew he wasn’t an average guy And he must’ve thought I’d run away, all frightened And tell the world, “He’s a dressed up bear!” And that would’ve got him in an awful snare. Finally he turned to me, lookin’ quite enlightened.
The tension made me squirm around As I wondered the decision he had found Will I live or will I die? I both cursed and prayed I shut my eyes, expecting death And pain and gore in my last breath Moments passed, and still didn’t know what choice he made.
My eyes opened a tiny bit Did I have time to up and split? I opened them more and saw only teeth! I turned my eyes so quickly fast ‘cross his jacket ‘til at last I stopped on a nametag, on it was “Keith.”
The train shook as it stopped a-milin’ And the bear fell back just a-smilin’ He had been grinnin’ this whole time! “Your name is Keith?” I pressed and prodded. The bear looked at me and nodded. Unable to speak, Keith began to mime.
I stayed where I was seated, My train ride still uncompleted He started a story and it was quite a show He stood up and waved a claw And ‘cross his heart, he placed his paw I was a bit confused, but began to know.
Keith was raised by a man named Bob And he had a nine-to-five office job I mean the bear and not the man. His mother died when he was three days old. The cave, I guess, was just too cold. And so he was adopted by Bob Dan.
This man was not a gentle one But he treated Keith like a son. Mostly because he thought the bear was human See, his eyes were very blurry bad So he saw the bear as a lad But that stopped when he met his crewmen…
They told him that Keith wasn’t a boy That a bear couldn’t be Bob’s pride and joy And that he’d have to release the cub into the wild Now Bob was happy as Keith’s dad Said the bear was the best son he had And Bob accepted Keith as his child.
But it just wasn’t the same after he knew Bob Dan grew colder as Keith grew Keith ran away to make a life he would love Now, the bear was on his way to show his dad The sort of life he now had A life he hoped Bob would be proud of.
I grew all quiet in respect This life story I didn’t expect From the tall, all-dressed-up bear. I felt the air electrified And knew Keith was petrified I saw him lower in humble prayer.
The next stop was coming fast All the trees were goin’ past. I knew that Keith would be leavin’ soon By the way he fidgeted where he sat And adjusted his jacket and hat And found his mirror in a pocket sthingy.
I thought for a shortest while And I decided, then I did smile And to Keith I said, “I’ll come with you.” The bear bent down and I got a hug So tightly that I grunted “Ug.” Escortin’ was somethin’ I was willin’ to do.
Well the train stopped movin’ again I stepped out with Keith and then I found myself where I’ve never been before Keith, on all fours, led the way And we walked for most of the day We walked and my little feet were sore
The sun crawled quickly ‘cross the sky On the journey, time did fly We passed meadows, forests, and a lake Though I was tired and wanted a rest, I followed him and he must’ve guessed I needed to stop and take a break.
He stopped, but he needed to go on. So he leaned down and I sat upon His jacketed back, which was quite a comfy seat. I sat up and watched the land Shift from grass to rock to sand And the journey was close to bein’ complete.
But first we had to cross the desert hot Which was somethin’ I did not Want to do, not even in the very least. But I endured and sat real still Though the heat, it could kill. I felt as if I were enterin’ the belly of the beast.
The distance wavered in the heat And even Keith was gettin’ beat He panted in breaths both heavy and short. I knew his jacket was too warm But before I could speak, I saw a swarm Of hornets buzzin’ ‘round an abandoned fort.
From their presence, I could tell Though abandoned, there was a well In the fort, sustainin’ those dang’rous pests I leaned forward to Keith’s ear And spoke in words that he could hear “Let’s go in, but watch out for the nests…”
Our throats were dry from unquenched thirst And we wondered which death was worst To die by not drinking or to die by sting? Keith decided then and there I stayed perched upon the bear I nodded though still unsure about this thing.
He lumbered forward, silent and slow Inchin’ forward, carryin’ himself low So the hornets wouldn’t notice and swarm, real curt But their buzzing suddenly started to rise And both of us shut our eyes And prepared for the most hurting hurt.
We heard the buzzin’ all around And breathed in the heavy sound It was quite hard to draw even a breath I prayed for a miracle, a sign from above To prove that the Creator did have love And got it, for we did not yet face death.
A gentle voice sang in lullaby Dropping hornets from the sky Her singing lulled the evil pests to sleep The lyrics were both sweet and sad Because I lived, I felt so glad I was so happy that I began to weep.
Oh Lord! Such luck for Keith and me! And I jumped to the well that I did see. Stray tears in my eyes, I wiped them away Before dipping the bucket into the deep. The hornets buzzed softly in their sleep. And the well was illuminated in one sun ray.
I looked up, rare clouds veiled the sky. And I felt somethin’ whisper by I turned my eyes to catch the form There was, at first, nothing to see I sighed and blinked, and then saw She. She smiled and sang, calling the storm.
Her name was She and nothing more Just She and She was our savior. She’s voice called hornets into repose, Bringin’ a storm when we were dry. And Keith just stared after he did espy. It was love at first sight, I do suppose.
Raindrops dampened my clothes, my skin But I let the wonderful sky-dew fall in My mouth was open gapin’ towards heaven Takin’ all the sweet drops, a-drinkin’ Lookin’ towards Keith, I saw him a-thinkin’ We had to follow Route 107
Before we started and headed out She had something to ask about “I have one desire and hear my plea Let me into your little pair Let’s make it two girls an’ a bear I wanna make your two into a three.”
I didn’t have to look at the bear To know that he didn’t mind to share This journey with the fine-looking She With a quiet grunt that said, “Yes.” Keith’s whole body did confess That he only let her in for her beauty.
Well, we all drank ‘til we were filled Dusk came and the desert chilled We headed out when the sky was fin’ly clear. My skin prickled as I felt somethin’ starin’ Then, I realized it was only the moon’s glarin’ But that didn’t stop me from feelin’ some fear.
Soon, I figured that the terror wasn’t mine When I heard Keith’s soft, low whine There was something that my senses couldn’t realize. Keith was shiverin’ with such fearin’ Must’ve heard something with his sharp hearin’ Because nothing scary was detected by my eyes.
